Prior to pickup, your assigned carrier will get in touch to confirm all the details and arrange a pickup time that works for you. They’ll do their best to meet you as close to your specified location as possible.
Vehicle Inspection
At pickup, you and the driver will perform a detailed inspection of your vehicle to document its current condition. The carrier will log any existing damage using either a mobile app or a paper form. We highly recommend taking clear photos of all four sides, the roof, interior, and a shot of the odometer to record the mileage.
Pickup & Transport
After the inspection, your vehicle will be carefully loaded onto the transport trailer and begin its trip to the delivery location.
What Happens During Transit?
Auto transport carriers generally travel 400–500 miles per day, and every pickup and delivery is scheduled in advance—drivers will never show up without notice. Keep in mind, your appointment won’t be confirmed until the carrier has completed the previous vehicle’s pickup or delivery.
Once it’s your turn, you’ll receive a heads-up several hours before your scheduled time, along with the exact location to meet the driver. You’ll also be provided with direct contact information, including the driver’s name, their phone number, and the dispatcher’s details—ensuring you’re fully informed and connected throughout the journey.
What to Expect at Delivery
About a day before your vehicle is scheduled to arrive, the carrier will reach out to confirm a delivery time and finalize the drop-off location—typically the closest spot the transport truck can safely access near your home.
Once your vehicle is unloaded, it’s time for the final inspection. Take a careful walk around the car, capturing clear photos from all four sides, and from above if possible. Inspect the interior for any signs of damage and double-check the odometer for any unexpected mileage. If you spot any issues, be sure to note them on the Bill of Lading (BOL). This is an important step—without it, claims for any damage won’t be accepted by the carrier’s insurance.
